Sejak kebelakangan ini Facebook telah menjadi buah mulut kebanyakan orang dari ahli politik hinggalah kanak-kanak (yang tahu menggunakan internet). Walaupun Facebook telah agak lama 'berkeliaran' di web, ia hanya mula menjadi buah mulut sejak kebelakangan ini bila ahli-ahli politik dan bisnesman mula menggunakan Facebook sebagai laman sosial mereka.
Berbanding dengan Friendster, yang hanya dikenali oleh remaja dan ke atas.. Facebook pula dikenali oleh semua lapisan. Hasil pemerhatian, mendedahkan salah satu sebabnya kerana adanya permainan di Facebook. Aku yakin ramai diantara kita yang pernah melihat atau bermain permainan di Facebook.. dan kalau kita perhatikan kesemua permainan yang disediakan merupakan permainan yang menyebabkan pengguna menjadi ketagih. Maklumlah kebanyakan permainan yang disediakan mempunyai 'jangka hayat'.. jadi ini menyebabkan pengguna seboleh mungkin akan mengakses Facebook setiap hari.
